Mike Clements is a fine art printmaker and book artist working in the Border Marches, the area where Wales & England join.  His ideas come from close observation of the world around him, often focusing on quirky aspects of life.

Mike demonstrates and sells his artist's books regularly at artists book fairs, including The Small Publishers Fair, London; and at the Bristol, Manchester and Liverpool artists' book events. 

Mike's artist’s books are in public and private collections in Europe, Australia and North America, including the Tate Gallery London, Yale Centre for British Art, the Minnesota Centre for the Book, Bodleian Library Oxford and Cardiff Met, Manchester Metropolitan, UWE Bristol & Oxford Brookes Universities, and Arts University Bournemouth.  He was, for many years,  printmaking tutor at the Sidney Nolan Trust, www.sidneynolantrust.org and is a member of the Marches Book Arts Group, www.marchesbookartsgroup.co.uk/mike-clements.

 Recent exhibitions include "Bees Don't Make Lemonade" at the Kitchen Gallery, Moseley Hive;  "Herefordshire Open”, Courtyard Arts Centre;  “Marches Makers Miniatures” at Kington Baptist Church;  a solo show "Jiggery-Pokery" at TOD gallery; "I Colour Outside the Lines" curated by Creative Arts at Bromsgrove; "Wild Fowers" at Poetry Pharmacy, Bishops Castle, Shropshire; "Restriction" exhibition curated by Correspondence Collective; "Come Outside" online exhibition curated by r_is_n.projects; "The Exquisite Crumb" online archive at La Briciola Squisita; "The Herbarium" for World Book Night 2021 at UWE Bristol; the "Open Fragment" online exhibition organised by Pragmata Collective. 

I took part in some physical exhibitions in 2020 before the national lockdown, in London, Bishops Castle and Sheffield, plus some online shows.  Before that my artist's books and prints were at Whitney Court, Herefordshire; “Turn the Page” artists’ book fair in Norwich May 2019; Marches Makers Festival, May 2019; the Bristol Artists’ Book Event BABE), March 2019;  the Small Publishers’ Fair, London, November 2018; the Frankenstein exhibition at Liverpool Central Library and two other venues; “60 years in a Box” exhibition at the Hereford Archive and Record Centre; and the Manchester and Liverpool Artists’ Book Fairs.
