Abecediaries have, for centuries, taught children the alphabet. But why must we always start at the beginning, not the end? What better to put in a book that goes backward than words that are the same whichever direction you read them?
For some letters, I resorted to old dictionaries to find little-used or archaic palindromic words long since excised from most modern dictionaries (see my artist’s book “Lost Words”)
